BLESSED KOZAK
visual artist, art historian,
licensed tourist guide nr.0534

...born in Hungary on March 1st, under the sign of Pisces, which would explain my empathy and my artistic flair.
With my intuition and my perseverance I have always managed to find the right path, and it is here that I acquired my skills that make me not only a complete artist - thanks to a humanistic and artistic education that ranges from writing literary translations, photography and teaching art history, or it would be better to say history in art, because art is ultimately also the history of people who live and have lived for their boundless passion.

Art is an all-round presence in my life - like literature, theater and dance and like being a tour guide (licensed in both Italy and Hungary) and knowing how to share my wisdom, my knowledge, but above all my great love for art.
My incessant curiosity since I was young pushes me to always go further and see the world with new eyes.
Did I walk a little or a lot?... it doesn't matter, the only thing that matters is that I can discover and rediscover the infinite beauty of art.
I strongly believe in the positive experience of art.

ARTIST STATEMENT

My artistic research focuses on the theme of landscape, external landscape and internal landscape. For me, painting does not mean imitating reality, but also means treating the pictorial material, interpreting it and transforming it into colors and shapes, and therefore opening the mind to new sensations. Landscapes are often between the line of abstraction and figuration. My process is not planned, but begins with a deep search for oneself, and the ideation occurs when I pick up the brush and the images begin to develop from within my imagination to end up through the colors on the canvas. The fluid material that I apply in my works allows me to build abstract and lyrical landscapes in which I try to recover that ancient bond that unites man to nature.

Although I have a formal training in oil painting (restoration, drawing), my techniques are completely self-taught, where I try to pay attention to the use of ecological materials and also apply ancient techniques. In my works I experiment with different techniques, which can vary depending on the subject: sometimes I prefer liquid and transparent forms, which almost seem like watercolors for their lightness and their non-corporeality on the canvas, sometimes instead to better express a dynamism, I use strong and lively movements. In my recent artistic research I paint by overlapping different densities of color creating various layers, which then react with each other modeling the surface, thus creating new textures. After all, I am a curious experimenter who loves to explore different emotions, new waters, and new paths that are at the same time mysterious and familiar. I love things that do not take me far, but take me deep.

Mine is an incessant desire to rediscover beauty.
